Travelling Tuatara Classroom Visits

A New Zealand Conservation Trust Education Officer will visit your classroom or community group with a young tuatara.

With this program we aim to reach as many people as we can with the specific objective of raising their awareness of  the conservation issues surrounding our native flora and fauna. We also aim to give them a close up encounter with our own ‘living dinosaur’ and to be able to share with them ways in which they can participate in helping with the survival of endangered species.

Learn all about the tuatara, a unique endemic animal, let us share the story of kiwi conservation as it happens at the reserve through photos and visual aids such as eggs.

Bookings are essential for this program, please contact us for more information
